Position Overview
As an Orthotic Fitter, you will play a critical role in evaluating, fitting, and adjusting orthotic devices to meet patients’ unique needs. You will work closely with clinicians, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure proper device function and optimal comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate orthotic solutions.
- Measure, fit, and adjust orthotic devices according to prescriptions and patient needs.
- Educate patients on the use, care, and maintenance of their orthotic devices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide follow-up care to monitor device effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Certification as an Orthotic Fitter (COF) or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in orthotics, durable medical equipment (DME), or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
